Layout
In this section, I’ve compiled previous versions of the shrine, each reflecting different stages of my journey in expressing my admiration for Julia Heartilly. Each layout captures a unique moment in the design’s evolution, showcasing how my vision has grown and deepened over time. From bold, vibrant styles to softer, more delicate aesthetics, these layouts all connect through one thing: the love and respect I have for Julia’s character and her beautiful, tragic story.Version 1.0

In terms of the color scheme, it leans heavily toward rich and bold shades of red, inspired by Julia’s iconic red dress. The use of red serves not only as an homage to her wardrobe but also evokes the passionate and romantic undertones of her character. This choice of color creates an atmosphere that mirrors the warmth and emotion tied to Julia’s character in Final Fantasy VIII.
Version 2.0

The fan art featured here, created by an unknown artist, perfectly captures Julia’s essence—her quiet, almost ethereal presence, the understated elegance in her music, and the poignant sense of longing that defines her relationship with Laguna. The way the art portrays her subtly speaks to her character: graceful yet filled with an unspoken sadness. Surrounding the art are carefully chosen textures, such as light, wispy overlays that mimic the feel of soft sheet music or the gentle flow of a piano’s keys. These textures amplify the ethereal, musical quality of her story, enhancing the shrine’s overall atmosphere.
I wanted this version to feel like an intimate tribute to Julia—one that conveys her profound emotional journey through a visual language that’s as delicate and poignant as the music she composed. Every element, from the soft color tones to the subtle details in the design, reflects the quiet tragedy of her unfulfilled love and the lasting legacy she left behind through her music. It's a space that feels like a memory, one that lingers in the air, much like Julia's music and the love she will always carry in her heart for Laguna.
