Eden

the human paradise

Eden is probably something like an intermediate world, because it is not entirely clear whether this is really paradise. A huge shipwreck can be seen, which is probably supposed to symbolize Noah's Ark and thus shows parallels to the biblical idea of paradise and the renewal of the world.
As a viewer, however, you still can't make sense of it. Eden appears to be something of a concept involving an observer doing whatever it takes to produce a new La Pucelle. Unfortunately, it is not explained here why La Pucelle had to carry the heavy burden of deciding whether the human race would continue to exist or not. What I also find a bit difficult is the role of Helena. Since Helene was also a Pucelle, she must have been faced with this decision, and since humanity obviously still exists, she seems to have decided in favor of humans. So why is she able to remember Abel when every decision erases the medium's memories? How does she know about Eden? Why does she even want to give birth to a new Pucelle? Shouldn't she want to break through this concept or is she being manipulated so much by the observer that she can't help herself? Why doesn't her hair color change after her decision?
Unfortunately, the anime doesn't address these questions, which gives the impression that a second season could have given the story a little more depth. Eden in "Fena: Pirate Princess" appears to be more of a burden for the Shrine Maiden rather than a classic paradise. The lack of explanation surrounding certain elements adds complexity and leaves room for interpretation, but it also creates some confusion regarding character motivations and the overall concept of Eden.
