Hannah’s loyalty to Alois is profound, even in the face of his abuse. She endures his physical and emotional mistreatment without complaint, motivated by her overwhelming desire to make him happy. This loyalty is so extreme that she is willing to strip almost completely when Alois wants to use her clothing for a costume, showcasing her readiness to sacrifice her dignity for his satisfaction. Her ultimate goal seems to be to bring some semblance of happiness to Alois, despite the torment he inflicts on her.
Hannah's backstory reveals another layer of her character, highlighting her emotional complexity and the reasons behind her actions. Before meeting Luka Macken, Hannah was an apathetic and jaded demon, weary of consuming human souls and detached from any sense of purpose. She led the demon trio under her command without enthusiasm, until Luka approached her with a contract. Luka, driven by a pure and determined desire to protect his brother Jim, wished for the destruction of the village that had tormented them. Hannah was moved by Luka’s innocence and his selfless love for his brother, which distinguished him from the other humans she had encountered. This connection with Luka awakened something within Hannah, prompting her to fulfill his wish, even though it meant Luka's death. When Luka thanked her before dying—a gesture she had never received from any other human—Hannah experienced a profound sense of sorrow as she devoured his soul.
Carrying Luka’s soul within her, Hannah is deeply influenced by his wish to protect his brother, Jim. This wish becomes a driving force behind her actions, leading her to become Alois's maid in an effort to stay close to Jim, who later becomes known as Alois. Hannah’s devotion to the Macken brothers, especially in honoring Luka’s dying wish, reflects her complex blend of loyalty, guilt, and a deep, unspoken affection for the boys.
